Child Abuse Prevention Month with CAN Council
This month, our agency planted pinwheels at all 3 locations to show our support for the CAN Council and their mission of building communities where children are free from abuse and neglect.
CAN Council strives to do the following:
- Create communities where children are free from abuse and neglect
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality and privacy
- Treat everyone they serve with compassion, equality, and respect
- Maintain a safe, cooperative, child-focused environment
- Respect the intentions of our donors
- Maintain healthy boundaries
- Embrace all members of the their team as being critical to our success
- Recognize and value the strengths of team members
- Encourage new ideas and seek opportunities to think beyond the status quo
- Embody excellence in all that we do
The CAN Council began its journey in 1972 and was officially founded on June 7, 1979. Over the last 44 years the CAN Council has done great work for our local communities.
